Now a bit about STD´s (Sexual Transmitted Diseases) and the unbelievable and unacceptable lack of knowledge/information about this subject in the gay community.

First of all, if you do not know anything or little about sexual health and related diseases it is you sole responsibility to be informed, as there is plenty of free information on the Internet at the click of a button. Also you have free sex clinics where you can ask your nurse or doctor anything in confidence. They are there for that purpose and they have heard all before, so no reason to be shy about it.

I cannot pass HIV, so this is a subject I do not talk about normally. I am undetectable and checked 'religiously' every 6 months for every existing STD. This is not a guarantee that I cannot catch STD's but at least I am tested regularly.

Nowadays if any of you catch HIV is your sole responsibility, as there is PREP and most gay guys who play with certain regularity should consider taking it to be sure they will not contract it. If you catch it, then there is medication and taking it regularly will make you undetectable, and therefore you will not pass it on to others and you can have a totally normal life.

For chlamydia and, in a lower proportion, gonorrhoea you can try Doxyprep. Search on Internet and you will find out what it is and you can decide if you want to take it. Doxycycline and other medications can be purchased on Internet in websites like Doctor Fox, again, find out on the Net.

If/when I catch something I do tell others in case they are the ones who passed on to me, or I passed anything to them, they can be tested and treated. Also, when I contact a sex partner is not to blame anyone but to inform that they may have passed it to me or I may have passed something to them. It is important to tell your sex partners if you give positive for anything. let's be Adults and stop the blame game. If you want to be hundred per cent sure you don't catch anything either do not play or protect yourself and take PREP.

Obviously, if I pass anything to anyone is because someone passed it to me and I did not have any symptoms. This is the case for some STD: people catch it and they did not have symptoms and passed it to others without knowing.

I have observed that some people write they were tested many months ago .... well, if you have no sex or 1 or 2 partners during that period there could be chances that you haven't got anything, otherwise it has absolutely no meaning to say that you tested yourself 6 months ago or many more months.

Rather than harassing someone you have had sex recently with, if you have any symptoms or suspicion that you may have caught something GO AND CHECK YOURSELF, that's the best way of knowing if you are STD free. And if you catch something TELL YOUR RECENT SEX PARTNERS! that's the only way we can stop STD circulating around.
